While the Lemon Pipers (ask your parents) might be most-famous for singing about their green tambourine, we wouldn't mind betting that they wished they'd hung on a few years! Green might've been all the rage in the 60s, but in the Noughties, it's all about flashing rainbows!

The Flashing Tambourine is a functioning, plastic tambourine with a secret: push the button on the handle and you've three, fabulous light displays at your disposal. Choose from frantic flashing, spectacular strobing or multi-coloured morphing and you could be tapping out time with your band  -  even in the darkness!

Aside from musicians, the Flashing Tambourine makes a great sensory toy. With 10, jingling zils (the jangly things), it makes a cheerful amount of noise and, powered by three AA batteries and with four LEDs, it remains cool to the touch.
